Pots for Plants

It's been a rainy season here in Philippines. I was thinking it will be good to do some gardening. During rainy season if you plant I noticed it will grow faster and wonderful. My mom and I decided to buy some pots for the plants the other day which I bought it yesterday as well as fertilizer. I also went to my Aunt Nena and she gave me some of her favorite plants. Today I started putting them into the pots. Bought 6 big pots and 1 dozen of medium size pots. It is very stress-free after seeing your work specially when they grow up. =)

Baking Stuff

Just arrived home from Davao City. I went there yesterday around 1 p.m. I was there for some important matter. I also look for some stuff I needed for my balloons and baking class. I realized that you really have to canvass before buying. I went to Uyangaren and found a store where you can buy stuff for baking. It's good I decided to visit other store. Went to Chimes found a store who also sells baking stuff. Gosh! I found 1 stuff ( cake sculpture P700+) which I also saw in the first store.. First store is very expensive, cake sculpture its cost P1,500+). See the big difference? I enjoy more on the second store because its more complete and more cheaper. That was happened yesterday. Today went to SM Mall in Davao, I was at the kitchenware then I heard someone calling my name. Whew! it was my teacher Ma'am Des. She told me I better visit "Baker's Basket" along Arellano St. in Davao which I can find more affordable and more variety selections for my baking stuff I need. Since I'm running out of time for the last trip and I need to get back to GenSan. I wasn't able to visit Baker's Basket , so I decided to visit Davao again soon.

Fantastic Dinner with Friends

Happy Sunday to all! My day went well. A friend of mine forwarded me the SMS of our other friend Liza regarding for our dinner gathering which we planned couple of days ago. Since I don't have time to cook because I was at the hospital visiting a close friend of mine .

We had a wonderful dinner tonight, I bought cassava cake for our dessert and the rest beef stew, Tilapia fish , lechon kawali, honey dew, Bijon and some drinks.

The host "Liza" has a baby boy who just turned 1 year old last July 11,2008. We had fun teaching cutie Gabby to walk at least more than 3 steps. We always do these having dinner gathering. The last time was being held in our home 3 weeks ago. Despite of our busy schedules and business we handled we still managed to see each other and nourish our friendship. We were classmates since highschool and the other two when we were in elementary =)

I felt that these friends of mine genuinely treasure each other. They are like the piece of antique the longer you have it in your possession the higher the value becomes. True friendship stab you in-front, that's what we are..hehehe!

While resting and get my stuff inside the locker, I remembered I bring with the camera so I took the shot inside the locker. It's good nobody around. Took some hot shower and went straight home. My nerve is so relaxed and feel sleepy for now. But wait! I have to update my blog then I'll take some rest now.. =) Thanks for visiting!

Balloons

When you see balloons how people arranged it, so nice to look and very stress-free. I wonder how people do it. I find very complicated. It all started when I went to the mall and buy some pack with different colors and hand pump. So I started blowing them and arranged. I admired what I've done. Thinking this would be a wonderful homebased business. But something is missing, since I'm not an expert making balloon arrangement I decided to take up some seminar and tutorial which I found one. I paid for this skills which I never regret. Some of my friends buy some balloons to me during birthday's, mother's day, anniversary , Valentine's day and a lot more other occassion. It was fun when you make another unique yet cool arrangement. I am hoping that this hobby of mine will turn out to be a successful homebased business and maybe will grow and I can put up a shop of mine. That's my dream......Let me know what you think some of my work. Have a nice day to all!

First day in Culinary Class

Today is the first day of my culinary class. It was 26 of us. We have little discussions and election of officers. It was so funny because the noisiest in the class was being elected as officer. I was also being elected *toinks* Frankly speaking, I don't want to be an officer I prefer to be a member. It doesn't mean I don't want obligations. I am just happy and content being a member.

Our teacher introduce us the utensils that we are going to use, criteria and practicum. I'm excited for our practicum because I really have passion in cooking and I want to learn a lot. We were divided into 2 groups and assigned each member what to bring. Our teacher gave us a recipe what to be cook on next session. We list the ingredients, estimate the price and divide the amount. I will attach here next time of our finish product and the recipe. And try it to your home. =)

Can't wait for our next session and start baking! Whew! I'll post some update and photos if what kind of cake we made. Do you also like cakes?

Back to Gym

Whew! it's been a while I didn't go to gym. 7 months ago I used to woke up early morning around 4 a.m. , go to the Oval plaza and had some brisk walk and jogging until 6:30 with my neice. It's stress-free if you do exercise early in the morning. A friend of mine and I decided to take up some aero class and have some cardio. Finally, I'm back to gym again after few months I missed it. The place is so cozy and its the best gym in town. Equipments are new, instructor are very friendly. On our first day, people there offered us some banana-q for snacks, since I'm starving I get one. They get our blood pressure, height, weight, fats and a lot more. Though its cost much from the monthly fees and registration but your penny is really worth enrolling to that gym. Having some exercise is very healthy and we need oxygen in our system. Getting some good exercise will let you live longer.

Why don't you start some exercise and enroll yourself to gym? Come and join us =)

Unplanned Dinner at Home

3 hours more to go it's dinner time. A friend called me up that our dinner date with our other friend at home was being cancelled, since it was planned already we decided to pursue it and to be held here at home. It was nine of them came. They bought fish for "kinilaw", pork to be grilled and for "sinigang". Some are helping to prepare the food, slicing the vegetables and meat and the others watching TV and using computer. Buy some drinks at the convenience store . While waiting for the food being cook, I show them my photo album which some of our photos was there and its funny how we look like before 10 years ago. It was a great dinner though we had little raindrops since we held it at the veranda. We talk a lot of stuff and reminiscing the past. The night end so early around 10 pm since tomorrow will be Monday and they have to work. We always do these when we are in high school having dinner gathering to nourish our friendship until now..

Photo Tips

We always wanted to get a good picture and best color. Here are some tips for you to have a nice outcome.

1. Use natural color light for nice result and for your advantage. To keep the eyes open , make sure your subject is behind the sun though its difficult to keep faces out of shadow this way. You can also shoot in the morning or evening when the sun isn't as harsh.

2. Use tripod.

3. If you're near water, include the surface of the lake/pool/ocean in the shot to capture some cool reflections.

4. Film a sequence of shots using burst mode, so you capture a series of pictures encompassing an explosion from start to finish.

5. When photographing action shots (like the annual three-legged race), planning is everything. Stake out a good position to frame your shot properly well in advance so you don't end up with a technically great and perfectly-exposed shot... of everyone's backside as they run away from you.

Unplanned Dinner with old friends

Meet my friends at the mall yesterday at 5 p.m. and discussed some important matters regarding business. We passed by at Ideal Vision Optical clinic to visit Ivy and we decided to have some dinner. We always do this having unplanned dinner. Went to Sunset cafe where we took our dinner. It was 7 of us there. The place is so cozy and the food is superb. Everyone ordered different kind of viand, as the food being served we tried small piece every viand for us to know how does it taste.I remembered when we are still a student, if one bought a food all can take a bite what was left for the owner is almost nothing-hahaha! We all enjoyed our dinner with little funny chit chats. As we grew old our heart still the same when we are in High school. Nothing change..
